This was reported by the Main Department of the State Service for Food and Consumer Protection in the Kharkiv region.
これはハルキウ州国家食品・消費者保護局本部が報告した。
On 26 Sep 2025, a resident of the city of Lyubotyn, Lyubotyn territorial community, discovered a fox in her yard that was behaving strangely and hiding in a dog kennel.
2025年9月26日、リュボティン地域共同体リュボティン市の住民が、庭で奇妙な行動を取り犬小屋に隠れているキツネを発見した。
The owner called the police. The animal was killed due to its aggressive behavior.
飼い主は警察に通報。動物は攻撃的な行動のため殺処分された。
According to the results of laboratory analysis, rabies was confirmed in the dead fox.
検査によって、死亡したキツネの狂犬病感染が確認された。
In this regard, quarantine restrictions were introduced in the territory of the city of Lyubotyn with adjacent forest and field areas. An action plan was also approved to eliminate the rabies outbreak.
これを受け、リュボティン市域及び隣接する森林・農地に対して検疫措置が導入された。発生した狂犬病の根絶に向けた行動計画も承認されている。

In Europe, the oral rabies vaccination (ORV) of red foxes (Vulpes vulpes), the main reservoir of rabies in the continent, was developed in the late 1970s and has demonstrated its effectiveness in the eradication of the disease in Western and some Central European countries. In 2018, a large-scale campaign of vaccination of feral carnivores was implemented in Ukraine. In 2022, due to the Russia-Ukraine military conflict, the oral vaccination of wild animals was interrupted.

欧州では、大陸における狂犬病の主要な保菌動物であるアカギツネ（Vulpes vulpes）への経口狂犬病ワクチン（ORV）接種が1970年代後半に実施され、西欧および一部中欧諸国における疾病根絶に有効性が実証されている。2018年にはウクライナで野生肉食動物の大規模ワクチン接種キャンペーンが実施された。2022年、ロシア・ウクライナ軍事紛争の影響で野生動物への経口ワクチン接種は中断された。
