Sarawak recorded one rabies case between 13 and 17 Jan 2025, according to the Department of Veterinary Services Sarawak (DVSS). In a Facebook post yesterday [18 Jan 2025], DVSS stated that the incident, which occurred at Serapi Track, Taman Palma Indah in Matang here, involved a stray dog.

In response to several positive rabies cases detected recently, the department conducted an anti-rabies vaccination campaign at Open University Malaysia here yesterday [18 Jan 2025]. The event also included microchipping and dog licensing programs.

最近、複数の狂犬病陽性例が検出されたことを受け、同省は昨日（2025年1月18日）、マレーシアオープン大学で狂犬病予防接種キャンペーンを実施した。このイベントでは、マイクロチップ装着と犬の登録プログラムも実施された。

"A total of 59 dogs were vaccinated, microchipped, and 30 dogs licensed (under the Kota Samarahan Municipal Council area) to keep our community safe," said DVSS.

「合計59匹の犬にワクチン接種とマイクロチップ装着を行い、30頭の犬に登録証を発行した（Kota Samarahan市議会管轄区域内）。これにより、地域社会の安全が保たれる」とDVSSは述べた。
